Purpose Statement: “Every member has a ministry

We want to help you find your fit here.  We believe that every person has a purpose; and we want to help you discover and develop that purpose.  Even though you may not be a “credentialed minister,” your gifts are critical to the healthy functioning of Christ’s body, the church.

“to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…” (Eph. 4:12-13) ESV

We want to train and equip you to do ministry through these avenues:

1.    Your personal relationships

2.    Serving here at Freedom Church

God wants to use you to reach those around you.  There are people in your life who your pastor will never be able to reach without you.

There are many times in the Bible when God revealed Himself to someone and they came to the realization that they didn’t have to go to the temple to have a real encounter with God; and they didn’t have to depend on a priest to facilitate it for them.  For some reason, many Christians are okay with following a pastor/preacher more than they are following Christ.  However, depending on someone else to facilitate your relationship with God is dangerous.  Why? Because humans make mistakes, and when they do, you can end up feeling like God has failed you.  That’s why it’s so important for us to have a personal relationship with Christ.  More importantly, we don’t want anyone to just blindly follow.  We want to teach the Word in a way that you can literally apply it to your life.

The world is in great need of ministry and there will never be enough churches to meet that need.  We need believers who will begin to actually BE “The Church.”
